… in Oslo today, I would love to go to the United Bakeries a lovely café-bakery that I discovered during my trip to Norway in September. The boller was the best I’ve ever eaten.

{ fika }

By Brit

Fika is a social institution in Sweden; it means having a break, most often a coffee break, with friends usually accompanied by something sweet. Swedes consider having a coffee an important part of the culture. Traditionally, fika requires sweet, baked goods, especially cinnamon rolls. The word “fika” can serve as both a verb and a noun. The picture shows some fika places in København and Malmö. Have a hygge fika this weekend !

P.S. If you would like to see more of Copenhagen, have a look at the city guide section of my blog where I posted some lovely stores and cafés in Copenhagen.

{ hygge coffee moments }

By Brit

I am back from my Christmas getaway to Copenhagen,  a great city with such a magical Christmas spirit glowing with warm light in the dull weather. I had  wonderful coffee moments in some of the cities most coziest cafés and discovered a lot of great design stores. I will add them soon to my ‘city guide’ section at the left side of my blog. In the meantime I would like to share these three cute coffee places where I spent some hygge moments. ‘Sweet Treat’ and ‘Fisk’ are quite local while ‘The Royal Café’ is a very touristy spot on Europe’s longest pedestrian area ‘Strøget’ but nevertheless a lovely place. Enjoy a little insight of this wonderful city !
